Reza Zoughi is the Kirby Gray (Battelle) Chair in Engineering and a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University (ISU). He is also the Director of the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) at ISU. Previously he was at Missouri University of Science and Technology, and before that at Colorado State University. He has authored the book Microwave Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation Principles and is the co-author of 189 journal papers, 380+ conference proceedings and presentations, and 120 technical reports. He has 20 issued US patents, and several issued abroad. He has also delivered numerous invited and keynote presentations.
Zoughi is the recipient of the 2007 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Distinguished Service Award, the 2009 American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Research Award for Sustained Excellence, the 2011 IEEE Joseph F. Keithley Award in Instrumentation and Measurement, and the 2020 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Career Excellence Award. In 2013 and 2020 he and his co-authors received the H.A. Wheeler Applications Prize Paper Award from the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. Zoughi is also a Fellow of ASNT (class of 2005) and IEEE and continues to serve ASNT and IEEE at many different capacities.
