Conference Amenity Policy for Volunteers
1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to define the conference amenities to be provided to ASNT member volunteers.
2.0 Scope
This policy applies to members of ASNT’s Board of Directors, members of ASNT Certification Services LLC’s Board of Managers, Council Chairs and Vice-Chairs, and Past Presidents attending ASNT conferences. It does not apply to section events or activities.
3.0 Policy
3.1. The ASNT Board of Directors and the ASNT Certification Services LLC Board of Managers shall receive upon request:
3.1.1. Complimentary full admission to all ASNT conferences. This includes in-person or virtual attendance options.
3.1.2. Complimentary admission to all ancillary conference activities that are separately ticketed or priced. This includes, but is not limited to, receptions, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, banquets, and entertainment.
3.1.3. Complimentary admission for one guest to all ancillary Annual Conference activities that are separately ticketed or priced. This includes, but is not limited to, receptions, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, banquets, and entertainment.
3.2. Council Chairs and Vice Chairs shall receive complimentary full admission to the Annual Conference upon request. This includes in-person or virtual attendance options.
3.3. Past Presidents shall receive the following amenities upon request:
3.3.1. Complimentary full admission to the Annual Conference. This includes in-person or virtual attendance options.
3.3.2. Complimentary admission for the member and one guest to all ancillary Annual Conference activities that are separately ticketed or priced. This includes, but is not limited to, receptions, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, banquets, and entertainment.
4.0 Procedure
4.1. Volunteers shall pre-register for conferences and ancillary activities using the procedure provided by the Executive Director.
4.2. The Executive Director shall ensure volunteers receive appropriate tax forms (e.g., IRC 1099) in the event receiving the amenity creates a tax liability for the volunteer.
