Danny Keck has over 48 years of experience in construction and asset integrity inspection in the nuclear power and petro-chem industries and is currently an Independent NDT/Inspection Consultant. Keck first joined ASNT in 1978. He sat his first Level III examinations in 1982. Since then, he has maintained his Level III certifications in UT, RT, MT, PT, and MFL. Keck was a charter member of the Saudi Arabian Section of ASNT and has held the secretary, vice chair, and chair positions of that Section over his 12 years at Saudi Aramco. He has chaired the Alaska Section and served as a board director for the Greater Houston Section. Keck has been an active member of the Technical & Education Council (T&E), serving on the RT (PenRad) and UT Committees, and was one of the charter members of the GW Committee formed in T&E. Keck has held positions as vice chair and chair of T&E as well as vice chair of the Certification Management Council (CMC). Keck chairs the RT Committee in CMC and is a member of the UT Committee, as well as the chair of the GW Committee and acts as the liaison between T&E and CMC for guided wave testing (GW). Keck is the vice chair of the newly formed Industry Sector Qualification task group in CMC that administers practical qualification examinations for the oil and gas industry. He is also a member of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) that consults with ANSI on ISO standards. He chairs the Subcommittee for RT and is vice chair of the subcommittee for UT in the ISO TAG group. Keck an ASNT Fellow (class of 2002). He currently serves as chair of the Business and Finance Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee, and was elected secretary/treasurer to the ASNT Board of Directors in 2019.
