The ASNT Library began as an NDT archive when it was dedicated in June 1990. Its first holdings were mostly archival materials such as reference texts, conference proceedings, slides, and ASNT's own books in print. Through the generosity of ASNT members, and other individuals in the nondestructive testing community, the collection has expanded to include numerous volumes of NDT texts, research and association journals, and other archival materials.

In this library you'll find papers from Materials Evaluation (ME), Research in Nondestructive Evaluation (RNDE), and The NDT Technician, as well as proceedings from our Annual Conference, Research Symposium, and regular topical events.

ASNT's journals, Materials Evaluation and Research in Nondestructive Evaluation, comprise an encyclopedic history of nondestructive testing technology and methodology. Materials Evaluation began its run in 1942. Research in Nondestructive Evaluation began in 1989. Copies of all articles are available for both journals. Document delivery rates apply: see below.
