Engineering Council
The Engineering Council was formed in 2019 and has 5 subcommittees. ASNT membership is not required for council members, although it is required for council and committee chairs.
The Engineering Council is responsible for administering NDT engineering affairs of the Society and for the formulation of broad plans and programs designed to enhance the engineering activities of the Society.
The Accreditation Committee develops the requirements for the NDT Engineer and means by which ASNT will acknowledge this accreditation. The committee will also develop a code of ethics for the NDT Engineer.
The Reliability Committee creates ASNT guidelines on reliability and complies references and different standards that currently exist.
The NDT Engineering Committee interacts with universities to advance the mission of the NDT Engineering Council.
The Industry Committee explores industry needs and how we can put the ‘NDT Engineer’ category on the job market.
The Liaison and Outreach communicates with other organizations, domestic and international, that have a similar purpose.
