The Education Division identifies, develops, collects, and distributes educational information and promotes the use of such materials in support of NDT educational programs.
The Industry Interest Division serves the needs of the aerospace and chemical and petroleum industries.
The Aerospace Committee is for practitioners of NDT in support of manufacture, assembly, and maintenances of materials, components, structures, and systems for civil and military aviation and for space exploration. The committee is a forum for networking and provides reviewers for ASNT publications.
The Chemical and Petroleum Committee is for practitioners of NDT in support of mining, storing, transport, processing, and handling of refined and unrefined fossil fuels. Chemicals not derived from petroleum and natural gas are also of interest.
The Infrastructure Committee focuses on NDT/NDE for bridges and other engineered structures to increase awareness and assist in technology transfer for NDT/NDE infrastructure engineering. The committee also promotes structural health monitoring (SHM) standards development and promotes inspection certification programs for infrastructure applications.
The Methods Division develops, maintains, and updates the body of knowledge for NDT inspection methods and develops the body of knowledge for training and qualifying personnel in the respective NDT disciplines.
