A Message From Your Board Welcome back from the holidays and welcome to 2019_image

Are you all charged up and ready to set sail on ASNT’s memberSHIP this year? (It is this year’s member-get-member campaign. If you didn’t know, get onboard today. asnt.org/allaboardthemembership) Ready to steer to new challenges and opportunities? This year will be chock-full of them.

It is my hope that you all had a restful break spending quality time with family and friends. I am looking forward to meeting you at the events ASNT has scheduled this year, such as our Spring Research Symposium on April 1-4, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove, Ca. The Research Symposium’s theme is Advancing NDE Technologies, Research and Engineering in a Changing World – always relevant and the purpose of the gathering.

For all our members who have an interest in inspecting composites, NDT of Composites conference will be held April 30th through May 2nd, 2019 in Seattle, WA.

Digital Imaging and Ultrasonics will be held in New Orleans this year on July 23rd - 25th, 2019 at the exciting venue Harrah’s New Orleans. I can’t wait to see you all at this one, etouffee and jambalaya OH BOY.

A new ASNT event this year will be the International Symposium on Nondestructive Characterization of Materials in Portoroz, Slovenia at the Grand Hotel Bernardin. I may not know where Slovenia is exactly, but I can’t wait to see you all there. (Slovenia is on Italy’s Eastern border, and partially on the Adriatic Sea. Go to Venice and hang a right, you can’t miss it.).

This short monthly message is intended to be a point of engagement for the Board to speak to members on timely topics. You may not see us everyday but know that we are here to represent your interests and continue to move the society forward. We want you to view each of us as accessible and open to any conversation you feel will better the Society for us all and future NDT professionals.
