The ASNT Outstanding Paper Award

Submit a Nomination 

The ASNT Outstanding Paper Award is presented to individuals to encourage and recognize a high degree of effort toward technical achievement in nondestructive testing (NDT) through publication. This award celebrates exceptional contributions to the field, specifically through articles published in Materials Evaluation and Research in Nondestructive Evaluation. By honoring outstanding technical papers, the award aims to inspire continued excellence and innovation in NDT research and practice.

Eligibility

Authors of written contributions published by the Society in Materials Evaluation or in Research in Nondestructive Evaluation during the period of January through December of the preceding year.

Selection

The Awards and Honors Council selects the author(s) of up to one technical paper published in Material Evaluations and one written contribution published in Research in Nondestructive Evaluation each year, provided the author(s) has met the established guidelines.

Selection is based on originality, appropriateness & accuracy of supporting material, usefulness of the contribution, and clarity of the work.

Nomination

All technical papers published in Materials Evaluation and Research in Nondestructive Evaluation during the preceding year shall be candidates for the respective recognition.

Deadline

Recipients are awarded at the ASNT Conference.
