Two New ASNT Sections Chartered at 23rd ASNT Research Symposium

The ASNT Board of Directors approved two new section charters for on 27 March 2014 during a meeting at the 23rd ASNT Research Symposium in Minneapolis, MN. The sections chartered are the Atchafalaya Section in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the Acadiana Section in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The following members have been associated with the founding of the new sections:

The sections are being chartered "for the purpose of advancing scientific, engineering and technical knowledge in the field of nondestructive testing through education, research, and the compilation and dissemination of information useful to the individual and beneficial to the general public."

A banner and charter will be presented to the sections during their inaugural meetings.

ASNT members in the surrounding areas who don’t currently affiliate with a section are invited and encouraged to affiliate with the Atchafalaya or Acadiana Sections.
